Dan Cox is a writer, photographer, tour guide, singer, accordionist, amateur historian and inveterate wanderer based in Brighton, UK. With one third of a degree in Broadcast Journalism and two thirds of a degree in Countryside Management (An HNC and an FdSc, in fact), he is well qualified to be the next John Craven on Countryfile. His passion for stories, histories and the beautiful countryside of Sussex (and anywhere else he ends up) combine to make someone who always has a relevant anecdote or piece of fascinating information to impart, whether his acquaintances like it or not.
Often to be found entertaining enthralled denizens of public bars the length and breadth of Brighton, he is equally happy simply exploring on his own two feet with his heart full of curiosity and his hair full of twigs.
No matter how many people tell him he should get one, he does not want a dog.
